Equipment & Data Security:
In the event that one of the servers fails completely, other servers are configured to take over its load automatically. Additional TLN Services and co-location services operate on Dell, IBM, Compaq, and Cobalt servers.

Redundancy and high availability is carried through the network infrastructure to the multiple T-3 Internet connections through a Cisco router. Each connects to a different upstream provider Backups of all programs and data occur twice daily via DLT Tape Autoloader. Backup tapes are retained on-site in a fireproof safe; day-old tapes are stored off-site. Tapes are rotated on a weekly cycle, and monthly archive tapes are retained for 90 days.

Physical & Environmental Security:
• The Logo Network Operations Center is located in Southern California at a secured 24/7 alarmed location.
• Network Operations Center is in an access-controlled, combination-locked section of TLN premises away from windows and the perimeter of the building.

• In addition to building core HVAC, the Network Operations Center has its own cooling system.
• Generator power is provided by building management as auxiliary backup power in the event of power failure.
• All servers are protected by high-capacity APC power conditioning and battery backup units to cover the transition time allowed for backup generator startup (up to 2 hours).
• SBC has its own generator, and TLN has arrangements for backup power from SBC as auxiliary power source in the event of building generator failure.

Monitoring and Alerting Systems:
TLN operates a monitoring and paging system which includes automatic tests on all servers and essential services.

Websites, databases, email services, etc. are monitored at one-minute intervals. TLN provides immediate pager notification and service response in the event of a failure. My Distributor Website services are also monitored by a third-party service firm which responds if a TLN service goes down for more than 15 minutes. This dual 24/7 hardware and service monitoring assures fast response and minimum downtime.

Disaster Recovery:
Given the high degree of physical security and equipment redundancy, The Logo Network believes the risk of a prolonged outage for its servers, facilities, or upstream links is minimal.
Any such outage would most likely relate to catastrophic "acts of God" such as fire or loss of facilities. In this event,TLN has mutual aid arrangements with other technology firms that would allow TLN to host critical systems and services until permanent TLN facilities could be re-established. Worst-case outage in such a situation would be less than 24 hours.
